Operations

Findlay Dispatch

Dispatch office hours are Sunday evening 10 p.m. through Friday afternoon 5 p.m.; however, a dispatcher is always on-call to monitor customer or driver needs.

With Garner's updated technology, on-call dispatchers have access to the Garner network from their home computers enabling them to answer all customer and driver questions.

Customers can call 1-800-283-1133 to reach a coordinator who will take their order and make the necessary arrangements to process the shipment. Garner has two coordinators who handle order entry into the computer system. These coordinators are responsible for accepting freight and assigning drivers.

Our dispatchers supply drivers with information through the mobile communication system and handle situations as they arise.

On-Board Communications and Tracking System

The Qualcomm mobile communication and fleet management system utilized by Garner uses technology and equipment superior to most satellite systems available today. This system currently interfaces with the dispatch system to provide up-to-the-minute status reports on shipments. With Qualcomm, dispatchers can contact drivers at any time.

This easy to use, open-line of communication ensures that our drivers can plan their lives by having dispatch information in advance and the availability of customer directions 24 hours a day. Garner drivers do not have to talk with a dispatcher to get directions to pick up or delivery locations; directions can be accessed via the Qualcomm unit that is located in the cab of the truck. Less phone time means more drive time!

Equipment

The late model equipment operated by Garner includes over 125 tractors and over 350 trailers with 53' super wide and 48' X 102' Storage Vans . Garner is also willing to acquire additional equipment to meet the needs of customers.
