Garner Trucking Now US EPA Certified with SmartWay Tractor
FINDLAY, OHIO---As part of a national awareness campaign Garner Transportation Group recently obtained a 1.25 the top rating given by SmartWay for promoting lower emissions and lessoning the carbon foot print. The SmartWay program is sponsored by the EPA. The highest rating was given to Garner for their addition of anti-idling technologies, use of synthetic oil based products and reducing fleet wide truck speed. Other actions Garner has taken to reduce company truck emissions is by purchasing new equipment that has 2007 EPA certified diesel engines and using wide based tires on a portion of their fleet.
In 2008, Garner received the Ohio Trucking Association safest fleet award for performing 9,000,000 miles with zero chargeable accidents. Recently, Garner was awarded the 2008 Indiana Motor Truck Association ‘Carrier of the Year’ award for 0 reportable accidents, aerodynamic truck design and equipment weight reduction.
